Those who freeze genetic material–eggs and sperms–for future use ought to think of how to dispose of unused ones from the outset.

Thanks again, Danielle. A fascinating, and little discussed topic. What do people
do with their stored genetic material? It seems that we humans must take responsibility
for our actions, and in this case, do so at the time when one chooses to store it, by
designating who controls it and how long is it’s shelf life. It is, indeed, a weird topic,
with almost sic-fi undertones, for it one freezes an embryo, how long does it
exist before beginning to be implanted and grow…Again, technology takes
us into new frontiers, where we must act responsibly for the good of the whole.
